LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena water polo head coach Ellen Howe and her team will be participating in the Inaugural Double H Ranch Camp Challenge Ride on September 12 in Lake Luzerne, N.Y. Howe and her team have already raised $250 for this special event. Howe will be doing a 100K (63.5 mile) bike ride through the Adirondack Mountains for Double H, which is a camp that provides programs and support for children and their families who are dealing with life-threatening illnesses. Members of Howe's team will also be in attendance for the event volunteering. This is not the first time Howe and her team have volunteered at the Double H Ranch. A very special friend of the teams' at Siena, Ben Stowell, was one of those campers who got to benefit greatly from this camp experience. He loved Double H and a week at camp was a gift that was given to him free of charge every year. Sadly he passed away last year, but the team has been dedicated to keeping his memory alive through events like this. For more information, you can visit the camp website at www.doublehranch.org. Additionally, if you would like to donate to this great cause, please visit Coach Howe's website for this event at www.teamholeinthewall.org/ellenhowe.
