Siena Water Polo Places Six on ACWPC All-Academic Team

    For the second straight year six student-athletes from the Siena College water polo team have been named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-Academic Team. Traci Robertson was named to the outstanding level, Rebecca Robinson and Devan Ragg were named to the superior level and Molly Chamberlain, Camille Norman and Veronica Bone were named to the excellent level.

    Robertson is a two-time ACWPC All-Academic selection. She just completed her sophomore season and has a 3.83 cumulative GPA in accounting. Robertson played in all 35 games this season and tallied 11 goals and 15 assists.

    Robinson, who just completed her freshman season with the Saints, has a 3.67 GPA in English. She played in 32 games and had 17 points on 10 goals and seven assists.

    Ragg has a 3.42 GPA in chemistry. She finished her junior campaign third on the team with 82 points on 40 goals and 42 assists.

    Chamberlain has a 3.33 GPA in social work. She played in 28 games as a junior and had 14 points. Chamberlain scored the game winning goal against St. Francis (N.Y.) in double overtime to clinch the fourth and final spot in the MAAC Tournament.

    Norman has earned ACWPC All-Academic status in each of her three years at Siena and has a 3.32 GPA in marketing and management. She led the Saints in scoring this past season with 84 goals and 49 assists and earned MAAC First Team honors.

    Bone played in eight games as a freshman this past season. She has a 3.28 GPA in biology.

    Student-athletes qualifying for the outstanding level had to have posted a GPA of 3.71 or better during the last academic year, while superior level athletes ranged from a 3.41-3.70 GPA and the excellent level ranged from 3.20-3.40.
