LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena water polo freshman utility Rebecca Robinson was tabbed the MAAC Rookie of the Week as announced this afternoon by conference headquarters. The Sinking Spring, Pa. native becomes the third different Saint over the first five weeks of the season to earn conference Rookie of the Week Honors.
Robinson joins classmates Monica Chaviano (Feb. 9) and Alexandra McDowell (Feb. 16) in being named a MAAC Rookie of the Week this season. In an award-filled first month of the season, junior captain Camille Norman has also earned All-MAAC honors when she was named Player of the Week on Mar. 2.
Robinson tallied six points including five goals and recorded her first career hat trick in a 2-1 weekend for the Saints at the Siena Invite. She recorded goals in all three weekend games and capped the Invite with a hat trick and four-point performance which included her scoring the game-winning goal in a 9-8 decision over Utica (3/7).
