LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena water polo freshman goalie Jennifer Kissel earned her second consecutive MAAC Rookie of the Week honor following a strong performance between the pipes last week for the Green and Gold. She picked up the win in Siena's ECAC Championships victory over Mercyhurst and has now recorded both of the Saints' wins in goal this season.

The Orlando, Fla. native played in all four of the Saints' games last week, registering 22 saves while posting a 8.00 goals against average and .579 save percentage. For the season, Kissel has played in all eight games, posting a 2-2 record, 7.56 goals against average and .564 save percentage.

In the first two games of the week, she combined to make 14 saves, allowing just five goals for an impressive .737 goals against average in games against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Brown. Against the Bears she allowed just two second half goals while tallying seven saves against the eventual ECAC Championships winner.

Kissel concluded the week by entering the game in relief and earning the victory against Mercyhurst on Sunday. She contributed two saves in the second half, allowing the Saints to break a tie and come away victorious.

Kissel and the Saints return to action Saturday for the start of the Marist Invite in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Siena plays Hartwick at 8 a.m. and Utica at 3 p.m.
