The Marist College women's water polo team won their final match of the season, posting an 18-7 victory over Siena College, to close out the first-ever Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Water Polo Showcase, held at the McCann Center Natatorium. Also competing in the event was league member Iona College.

The Red Foxes closed their season 4-22, notching the best record in the program's history. Marist closed out last season with a 2-16 overall record. The Red Foxes were led in scoring on the afternoon by Alyson Fiorillo (Pottsville, PA) and Carolyn Rosler (Blue Bell, PA), each tallying three goals apiece. In addition, goalkeeper Liz Sovern (Sandy Hook, CT) made six saves in the two contests. Julie Schoenlank provided four goals, also.

In the first match of the afternoon Iona topped Siena 9-2. The Iona offense was lead by Kacy Parilla, Elaine Cardenas, and Shannon McGady, each tallying two goals. Angie and Erin Mead registered the two Saints' goals in the match. The Gaels held a 17-11 lead in shots on goal, and Iona goalkeeper Elaine Gibson led in saves over Jeanine Giunta 10-5.
