Water Polo Closes Out Season with Victory over La Salle

Siena Water Polo battled La Salle in New Rochelle, New York on Saturday in the team’s final game of the season. The Saints took the conference victory 15-3 over the Explorers. Junior Clare Bryar put up six goals for Siena.

The Saints (7-24, 5-9) were led by Bryar’s six goals and four from Diana Fernandez. Rachel Brown also chipped in two scores and three Siena players had one goal each.

Bryar totaled 120 points this season, which is the second-most by a Saint ever in a single season and most since Camille Norman had 133 in 2010. Fernandez set a new single season record with 93 ejections drawn in her rookie campaign.

Senior goalkeeper Carly Jackson-Clark saved 15 shots in her final game as a Saint. Fellow senior Madison Obata added two assists and classmate Sarah Abbott recorded two steals. Jackson-Clark finished with 184 saves this season and 490 in her career, fourth best in Siena history.
