Water Polo Sweeps Final Home Matches

Bryar led Siena with five goals on Friday.

Siena Water Polo won its two final home matches on Friday in Loudonville. The Saints took down Utica College in the first game 13-4 before defeating Connecticut College 7-4 in the last game. Clare Bryar led the Saints with five goals scored.

Game One: Siena 13, Utica College 4

In the first game, Siena jumped out to a 7-0 halftime lead, winning 13-4. Sarah Abbott and Terez Touhey each scored two goals in the first 16 minutes of the game. Bryar, Daniella Fuertes, and Sara Lopez also added one goal each in the half.

In the second half, Bryar added two more scores, while Rachel Goldstein, Touhey, Rachel Brown, and Kayla Engleman each put up one goal. Diana Fernandez chipped in four assists in the win and Bryar and Touhey added two each.

Abbott also contributed seven saves in goal. Kennedy Joseph had three saves and Carly Jackson-Clark added two.

Game Two: Siena 7, Connecticut College 4

In the second game of the day, Siena bested the Camels 7-4. Fernandez scored four goals for the Saints and Bryar added two. Goalie Carly Jackson-Clark also added one goal for Siena.



Jackson-Clark registered 13 saves in the contest, adding one steal. Fernandez chipped in four steals and drew five ejections. Nichol Feldtz paced Siena with two assists in the game two victory.

Siena returns to the pool on Saturday, April 15 in New Rochelle, New York. The Saints will battle the LaSalle Explorers in the final game of the season at 2:30 p.m.
