Utica raced to an early 12-5 lead on March 9 to defeat Siena 16-9 which dropped their third game of the season. The Saints rallied in the first half to keep the lead slim, but the Pioneers answered back with a 7-0 run late in the third quarter. Seven of the 12 Utica players scored, led by Rebecca McLeod who had five goals total. Four different Saints scored, led by Angel Mead who had four goals, followed by Kelly Collins who had three goals.

On March 10, Utica College defeated Siena for the second day in a row to drop the Saints to an 0-4 record. The first three quarters were extremely close as the Saints hoped to grasp their first win of the season. Angela Mead tied the game at 7-7 late in the third quarter to increase Siena's chance of winning. The Saints kept the score close the entire game until the fourth quarter when the Pioneers jumped ahead to take a 9-7 lead.
Both Angela Mead and Julie Schoenlank had three goals for the Saints, while Valery Szymanoski led Utica with three goals.
