The Siena College women's water polo team dropped its first two contests of the season Saturday in New Rochelle, N.Y., falling to Iona College, 11-2, before suffering a 15-3 setback against Villanova. The Saints are now 0-2 overall.

In game one Iona kicked-off the scoring with five-straight goals before Erica Strein put one away for the Saints. Siena managed just one more tally, courtesy of Shanna Allen, while the Gaels found the back of the net six more times for the 11-2 victory.

Jeanette Ogren made four stops for Siena in the loss to Iona.

In game two, Villanova scored nine goals before Strein recorded her second goal of the evening, ending the Wildcat run. After five more goals by Villanova, Strein went on to put away one more tally and Allen added another goal of her own, while holding the Wildcats scoreless, but it was not nearly enough as Villanova walked away with the 15-3 victory.

Ogren had two saves against Villanova while Julia Crouse made one stop for the Saints.
