The clinics are a part of the NCAA Youth Education through Sports (YES) program and are being conducted in conjunction with the 2003 MAAC Women's Volleyball Championships.
Each year, YES clinics, held at selected NCAA and Conference Championships, provide a free program to nearly 10,000 youth ages 10 to 18 who engage in fun and challenging sports-skill, life-skill and conditioning sessions conducted by top collegiate coaches and student-athletes. The clinic will provide youth programming that focuses on participant development and the student-athlete mentoring program. YES clinic participants will have the opportunity to discuss with student-athletes topics such as academics and goal-setting. These special presentations will be specifically geared to the ages of the participants.
YES is another way that coaches and student-athletes share the NCAA's commitment to challenging young people to strive for higher levels of achievement in both athletics and academics.
