The Siena volleyball team needs a victory and some major help from new best friend Canisius Sunday afternoon in order to qualify for next week's MAAC Championships here in Loudonville. An improbable set of circumstances have put the Saints on the brink of elimination even though they enter their regular-season finale just a match out of first place.

Meghann Wright had a match-high 14 kills in just 21 attacks, and Rachel Stoklosa finished eight of her 11 swings in a 3-0 (25-13, 25-19 and 26-24) sweep of Saint Peter's Saturday in Jersey City. The Saints hit .350 for the match and won for the seventh time in eight conference competitions this fall.
