Siena Volleyball senior middle blocker Samantha Pethokoukis and freshman outside hitter Dakota Jackson were named to the All-MAAC teams, as selected by the league’s head coaches. Pethokoukis was named to the Second Team, while Jackson earned Rookie Team honors.
A Chicago, Illinois native, Pethokoukis led the Saints with a .285 attack percentage and recorded 169 kills to 1.78 kills per set. The middle blocker also led the team with 70 total blocks including five solo. She tallied 2.38 points per set during the season. Pethokoukis recorded 640 kills in her 104 matches played over her four-year campaign and tallied 322 blocks, including 31 solo blocks.
A Houston, Texas native, Jackson led the Saints as she averaged 2.51 kills per set and 2.85 points per set. The freshman played in all 29 matches and recorded a .188 attack percentage. She tallied 141 digs and added 34 blocks to her name. She earned one MAAC Rookie of the Week honor.
Four Saints were named to the All-Academic Team. Seniors Pethokoukis, Karli Rodriguez and Brittney Herrick along with redshirt sophomore Julia Burzynski earned the honors. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
