Siena is the No. 2 seed in the 2012 MAAC Volleyball Championships, which will take place Nov. 17 and 18 at Alumni Hall on the campus of Fairfield University.
The first semifinal on Saturday, Nov. 17 will be between top-seeded Fairfield and fourth-seeded Niagara University at 1 p.m. The Stags were victorious in both regular-season matchups, defeating the Purple Eagles in straight sets on Oct. 14 at the Gallagher Center and on Nov. 10 at Alumni Hall.
The second semifinal will feature the second-seeded Saints and third-seeded Canisius College at 4:00 p.m. The teams split their regular season matches, with the Griffs earning a 3-1 win over the Saints at the Alumni Recreation Center on Sept. 16 and the Saints claiming a 3-0 victory over the Griffs at the Koessler Athletic Center on Oct. 20.
The championship final will take place on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 1:00 p.m. The winner of that match will receive the league's automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Division I Volleyball Championship.
