Saints Set to Honor U.S. Special Olympics Volleyball Team Sunday

The Siena women's volleyball team is set to honor the United States Special Olympics volleyball team on Sunday afternoon during its televised match against archrival Marist on UHY Court at the Alumni Recreation Center.

The Saints will recognize Team U.S.A. between the second and third games for its accomplishments at the 2007 World Games. The contest will air live on Time Warner Cable channel 3 or via the internet as part of the Siena All-Access package at SienaSaints.com. Game time is slated for 2 p.m.

The United States Special Olympics volleyball team secured a bronze medal this summer at the 2007 World Games in Shanghai, China. Prior to the international competition, the team practiced closely with the Siena women's volleyball team in preparation for the Games.
