The Big Red turned back an early 1-0 deficit to win the next three sets in a 3-1 (19-25, 25-23, 25-23 and 25-19) victory over the stubborn Saints in the opening match of the Cornell Invitational Friday night in Ithaca. Saints Pacified8/28/10 The good news for Siena volleyball is that highly touted freshman Taylor Akana is already living up to the hype. The bad news is that it hasn't yet translated into a win. Akana posted 12 kills and seven digs, but the Saints succumbed to another tough foe Saturday, falling to Pacific in straight sets (25-12, 25-16, 25-15) on the final day of the Texas A&M Invitational in College Station, Texas.
