Jaclyn Levi led three Broncs with double figure kills, posting a match-high 13 as Rider took a key step toward qualifying for next week's MAAC Championships with a 3-0 win over Siena in Loudonville Saturday afternoon. Christa Glenn and Christie Gustafson each had 11 kills in a losing effort for Siena.
The Saints battled all afternoon, staying within striking range in each game, before Rider closed with decisive runs. The Broncs broke free for a 30-24 win in the first game, scored a 30-23 triumph in the second and emerged with a 30-22 win in the final game.
Siena was victimized by poor serving, one of the team's strengths throughout the season. The Saints compiled nine service errors compared to just two aces.
Levin was also one of three Rider players to register double digit digs, collecting 12. Libero Embrey Minor shared the game-high in digs with teammate Stefanie Lombardo. Each had 15.
Siena's season concludes with a 2 p.m. match against Loyola tomorrow. Seniors Abbie Maciolek, Leah Mizgalski and Diana Wierzba will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony.
