Fairfield swept all three games, 30-22, 30-20 and 30-21, to earn a 3-0 MAAC victory over Siena in Loudonville Sunday. Lindsay Lee and Jazmin Pa'akaula each recorded double-doubles (kills and digs) for the visitors.
The Stags raced to a 15-5 lead in the first game thanks in large part to the efforts of Lee, but Siena rallied to close within four points before succumbing 30-22. The second game was the most evenly matched, despite the final score, as Siena actually held an 18-17 lead before losing 13 of the game's final 15 points. The Stags controlled the action in the third game, coasting to the nine-point win.
Fairfield had three players register double figures in digs, as libero Lauren Oliver chipped in 19 to lead all players.
Siena returns to the road next weekend, traveling to Manhattan and Saint Peter's for a pair of MAAC matches.
