Tzvetomila Dotcheva and Ludmila Kechina combined for 43 of Saint Peter's (5-13/2-1 MAAC) 57 kills as the Peacocks handed Siena (5-13/0-3 MAAC) their third consecutive loss in Jersey City Sunday afternoon. Senior captain Jennifer Corkum had one of her top games of the season in defeat for Siena, registering 14 kills in just 25 attempts.
Saint Peter's won the first game 30-23, the second 30-22 and the decisive third game 30-27. The Peahens used just six players all afternoon, using a balanced attack of middle and outside hitters to keep Siena off balanced.
Siena, which had an 8-6 advantage in team blocks (4 by Corkum), could not get anything going on the outside.
Alma Qose recorded 47 assists in regulating the games pace from her setter spot for the Peahens.
Siena travels to Syracuse Wednesday evening, where they will play the Orangewomen at 7 p.m.
