Freshman Christie Gustafson had a game-high 13 kills to lead Siena past Quinnipiac 3-0 in a non-conference match contested in Loudonville Saturday afternoon. Senior Lauren Weber also collected benchmark dig 1,348 in the win, eclipsing the school's all-time career record.

Siena (3-11) earned comfortable game victories of 30-24, 30-24 and 30-25. Whenever the Saints were pressed on this day, they had an answer. Siena's outside hitters accounted for 41 of the team's 53 kills, with Liz Hubbard chipping in 10 from her middle blocker post. The balanced Saints' attack revolved around Gustafson, Weber (11 kills) and the sophomore tandem of Amy Christensen (9) and Christa Glenn).

Quinnipiac's (2-13) Jackie Gallo was the only Bobcat in double figure kills with 10. Several times, Quinnipiac battled to tie the match, but in each case, the Saints took over the match around the 20-point mark. The decisive third game was tied at 15-15 before senior Kerry Pease came off the bench to serve six straight winners and break the match open.

The win was the second for Siena over Quinnipiac this week, as the Saints defeated the Bobcats 3-0 in Hamden, Conn. Last Saturday.

Siena returns to action on Tuesday evening at the Alumni Recreation Center as they host Seton Hall at 7 p.m.
