Marist rallied from 2-1 down to stun Siena in five sets (25-20, 17-25, 18-25, 25-22 and 15-13) Thursday night in Loudonville. The loss snapped the Saints' 10-match home win streak and five-match MAAC win streak.

Siena (6-10, 5-1) entered the night as the only undefeated team in the MAAC after winning three road league matches last week. Now they're one of four teams with one loss.

Marist (10-5, 4-1) has won four straight league contests after dropping their MAAC opener to Manhattan in five sets at home.

The Saints led the fifth set 10-7 after a kill by freshman Briana Flagg, but the Red Foxes dug deep and won four of the next five points to tie the set at 11-11. Mackenzie Stephens picked up a big kill with Siena leading 13-12 to tie the set again, and freshman Lexi Millington served Marist to the final two points of the match.

Millington's serve was a big factor all match, even though she finished with just one ace. She led a key 5-0 run in the fourth set that helped stop Siena's momentum.

Taylor Akana led all players with 20 kills for Siena and added 14 digs. Meghann Wright also ended with a double-double, collecting 13 kills and 12 digs for the Saints. Freshman libero Bobbi Lin Kalama led all players in digs for the fourth straight match, finishing with 20.

The Saints out-blocked Marist 14-4, but they held a 12-0 edge in the two sets they won.

Kelsey Lahey led the Red Foxes with 18 kills. Stephens was held in check through most of the match, but she had two of the final three kills to finish with 12 on the day. Marist libero Brooke Zywick had 18 digs, including several big saves off unblocked attacks.

Siena's 10-match home win streak dated back to last season. The Saints will have the weekend off and then hit the road for their next three matches, starting with a mid-week contest at Quinnipiac next Wednesday.
