Binghamton handed Siena its ninth straight 3-0 loss (25-16, 25-20 and 25-16) Tuesday night in Binghamton. The Saints will try to rebound Saturday when they open their home and conference season against Iona at 1 p.m.
Siena (1-9) managed just 21 kills and had 14 service errors in the match. Meghann Wright killed six of her 16 attacks to lead the Saints.
Allison Hovie and Grace Vickers combined for 22 kills for Binghamton, which like Siena entered the match 1-8. The Bearcats won the America East Championship last season.
Siena fell behind 7-1 in the first set and never seriously threatened. They took their only lead of the match, 11-10, in the second set and trailed just 20-19 before the Bearcats won five of six points to end the set. Binghamton used a 9-1 run midway through the third set to clinch the match.
The Saints used 14 different players in the match.
