Sarah McCrary and Jackie Ahlers each recorded 16 kills leading St. John's (7-5) to a 3-1 non-conference win over Siena College (3-6) Monday night in the Alumni Recreation Center. Lauren Weber had an outstanding game in defeat for the Saints recording 21 kills and 18 digs.

St. John's jumped out to an early lead, winning the first game convincingly, 30-21. Upset-minded Siena bounced back to win the second 30-22. The Red Storm, however, rallied to take the third game 30-14 and held on for a 30-24 victory in the decisive fourth set.

Robyn Kurasaki and Jackie Ahlers led the Red Storm defense with 28 combined digs. Yana Rubin chipped in at the net with six blocks.

Diana Weirzba joined Weber with 14 digs to solidify a strong defensive effort for the Saints. Weber, the MAAC Player of the Week, had four times as many kills as any other Saints. Weber and the Saints return to action Friday night in the first round of the Villanova Wildcat Classic in Philadelphia.
