New Hampshire cruised to a 30-17 victory in game one, and then rode a balanced attack to a 3-0 triumph over Siena in the opening round of the Orange Classic in Syracuse Friday evening.
Following the 30-17 win in the first game, New Hapshire held on for 30-25 and 30-28 victories to claim the match. Toni Barnas and Emmy Blouin each had eight kills to pace the UNH attack. Blouin added nine digs.
Christie Gustafson led the Saints with eight kills. Diana Wierzba contributed a game-high 10 digs.
The Saints return to action tomorrow, taking on the host Orange at noon and Cleveland State at 5 p.m.
