LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Siena volleyball team (1-3) rebounded from consecutive losses on Friday to defeat Fairleigh Dickinson University and capture third place in the annual LaSalle Invitational, which concluded today in Philadelphia. Siena defeated FDU 3-0 before dropping its second match of the day 3-0 to Towson.

Junior Lauren Weber collected 15 kills in the three-game win this morning to pace the Saints. Senior captain Marissa Gregg was also on top of her game, tallying eight kills in just 12 attempts (67%). Weber and sophomore Diana Weirzba solidified the Siena back row recording 16 and 12 digs respectively.

Siena won the first game 30-21, the second 30-24 and the decisive third contest 30-23. Sharon Becker led FDU with 11 kills and seven digs.

Senior captain Jennifer Corkum notched 12 kills and recorded three blocks in a strong effort against Towson. Weber added 12 kills and 12 digs and classmate Katie Sarkovics killed six of her 13 attempts.

Sarah Miller had 13 kills and 10 digs for the victors. Towson won the three games 30-23, 30-22 and 30-27.

The Saints return to action at Army on Friday.
