GENERAL: A consummate student-athlete, she was one of 30 national Senior CLASS Award candidates as a senior, and one of just two in the Northeast...She finished her career ranked second all-time at Siena with 1,700 kills and fourth with 1,370 digs...She was a MAAC First Team selection as a junior and senior...In 2012, she was an ECAC All-Star...As a sophomore in 2011, she was MAAC Offensive Player of the Year and MAAC First Team and in 2010 she was named MAAC Rookie of the Year...In 2012, she became the fastest player in conference history to reach both 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs - doing so in just 55 career matches played...She entered her senior year ranked fourth nationally among active players in kills...For her career, she averaged 3.9 kills and 3.1 digs per set. As a freshman, she ranked 12th nationally in kills per set, and she led the MAAC in that category in each of her first three seasons...Her success on the court is matched only by her triumphs in the classroom. She graduated a semester early from Siena with a 3.82 GPA in marketing and repeated as a CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District selection in 2013, distinguishing herself among the top student athletes in the Northeast.

2013:One of 30 National Candidates for Senior CLASS Award...Preseason MAAC Player of the Year...MAAC First Team...CoSIDA Academic All-District Selection...MAAC All-Academic Team and MAAC Honor Roll selection...Averaged 3.4 kills and 3.1 digs per set...Posted career-best 31 aces...Led MAAC in kills per set in conference matches (3.84)...Her 12 double-doubles were tops in the MAAC...Had 23 kills and 14 digs in 3-2 loss to eventual MAAC Champion Fairfield (10/20).

2012:One of six student athletes named an ECAC All-Star...First Team All-MAAC...Preseason MAAC Player of the Year...Led MAAC (86th nationally) with 3.75 kills per set...Became fastest in MAAC history to reach both 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs (65 matches)...Led MAAC with 21 double-doubles...Posted seven 20+ kill matches, including season-high 26 kills in MAAC semifinal win over Canisius (11/17)...Had 19 kills, 23 digs and four blocks in MAAC Championship five-set loss to Fairfield (11/18)...Collected 21 kills and 24 digs in five-set win over Princeton (9/8).

2011:MAAC Offensive Player of the Year...All-MAAC First Team...Led MAAC and ranked 47th nationally with 3.99 kills per set...Posted double figure kills in 23 of 28 matches, and 20 or more kills seven times...Joined 30-kill club with 32 kills (32-10-75) in four-set win at Rider (9/18)...Had double figure digs in 19 of 28 matches, and 20 or more digs twice...Topped team with 16 double-doubles...Had 20 kills and 20 digs in season-opening five-set triumph over Youngstown State (8/26)...Posted 28 kills and 21 digs in five-set home loss to Canisius (10/8)...Had 868 total receptions and just 43 errors (.950)...Third on team with 29 aces.

2010:All-MAAC Second Team...Led the MAAC and ranked 12th nationally with 4.48 kills per set...Her 457 kills ranked sixth all-time in program history and 4.48 kills per set were fourth best...Played in 28 matches and 102 sets...Registered 10 kills or more a team-best 21 times, and had 20 kills or more a team-best 10 times...Posted 30 kills in five-set loss at Loyola (10/2)...Second on team with 328 digs and 3.22 digs/set....Had 24 kills and 24 digs in touch 3-2 loss at MAAC Champion Niagara...Her 14 double-doubles were tops on the team.

PERSONAL/COMMUNITY:Born June 11, 1992...Daughter of Chad Miyamura and Lynelle Akana...A marketing management major with a 3.76 GPA entering senior season...She is a member of several prestigious honors societies, including: 21st Century Business Leaders Society, Beta Gamma Sigma and Delta Epsilon Sigma...Currently conducting research toward her Honors Thesis: Consumer Adoption of Mobile Payments...Lists beach volleyball, ceramics and photography as outside interests... Chose Siena because of the successful history of the volleyball program, the welcoming people and atmosphere, the beautiful campus, and the smaller size of the student body...Very active member of hometown community, volunteering for: Palolo District Park Volleyball Clinic for Underprivileged Youths (2009), Lokahi Giving Tree Christmas (2008), Kamehameha Summer Schools: Sports and Activities Teacher's Aide (2006-2007) and rebuilding fishponds and restoring taro patches (2006-2010).
