GENERAL:Excellent defensive player who will likely transition to libero as a sophomore...Gained tremendous experience in the back row as a freshman playing alongside the school's all-time digs leader Lesli Akeo...Sister Julie was libero at MAAC-member Manhattan from 2009-12...Has soft hands, good footwork, and a strong knowledge of the game...Gained exposure for her off-the-court work with Operation Hearts and Home that led to two service missions to Ethipoia during her freshman year.
2012: Played in 27 of team's 32 matches and 64 total sets...Averaged 1.0 digs per contest...Collected season-high 10 digs in tough 3-2 loss at Niagara (10/21)...Had just three reception errors in last 11 matches played...Started against Binghamton (8/25), at Iona (10/7) and at Rider (11/10).
BEFORE SIENA:Played seven years of volleyball and was a three-year varsity starter at libero...All-State and two-time All-County selection...2011 All-Long Island selection by MSG Varsity...Three-time Nassau County Champion (2008-10).
PERSONAL/COMMUNITY:Has two older sisters Kristen and Julie, and a brother, Phil...Family hosts a ukranian girl named Alina each summer...Very active in community, having volunteered for: Operation Hearts and Home (2006-13), Camp Abilities volunteer coach (summers of 2011-12), Massapequa volleyball volunteer/head coach (summers 2007-10/11-12).
