2011: MAAC co-Defensive Player of the Year...Leo Dufort Student Athlete of the Month (October)...Became program's all-time digs leader with 22-dig effort in stunning sweep at Niagara (11/5)...Posted double-digit digs in 27 of 28 matches, and 20 or more digs 14 times...Joined the 30-dig club with 32 digs in three-set sweep of Marist (9/29)...Posted 858 service receptions with just 34 errors (.960)...Had five 25+ dig MAAC matches.
2010: One of two Saints to appear in all 31 matches, and the only player to see action in all 113 sets...Led team with 569 digs and ranked fourth in MAAC with 5.04 digs per set...Posted double-figures in digs in all but four sets, and 20 or more 12 times...Fifth on the team with 20 aces...Had season-high 35 digs in four-set loss at Cornell (9/3)...Posted 30 digs in four-set loss at Manhattan (10/9), and 29 in 3-2 win at Canisius and 3-2 MAAC Tournament win over Saint Peter's (11/18).
2009: Played in 25 of the 28 matches, mostly as libero...Led team and finished eighth in the MAAC with 4.03 digs/set (387)...It marked the 11th most digs in a season in program history...Posted 10 or more digs in 20 of the 25 matches she appeared in...Joined the 30-dig club in 3-1 win at Iona (30 - 10/17)...Had 20 digs or more four times and finished season with at least 10 digs in 14 of the last 15 matches she played.
BEFORE SIENA: A two-year letterwinner at the highly regarded Kamehameha schools where she helped her program to consecutive Division 1 State Championships as a junior and senior...Selected First team All-State Libero in 2008...Also named to the 2008 Honolulu Star Bulletin Fab 15 and tabbed a 2008 ILH Honorable Mention selection...Also played basketball and soccer growing up.
PERSONAL/COMMUNITY: Daughter of Lester and Cherie Akeo...Older brother Thomas (29) attended Kapiolani Community College and older brother Lester attends Hawaii Pacific... Selected to the Honor Roll at Kamehameha as a freshman and senior...Has two younger sisters: Lynzi (15) and Lexis (10)...First cousin Dane Sardinha played much of 2009 season in the major leagues for Detroit Tigers and is now in the Philadelphia Phillies organization, cousin Bronson Sardinha is in the Rockies organization...An undecided major with a 3.72 GPA.
