The 2013-14 Siena women's tennis schedule opens with the Siena Fall Classic the weekend of September 7 and 8 at Schenectady's Central Park. The Saints will play seven of their eight league games in the spring season after hosting Rider at Central Park September 28.
"This is a well-balanced schedule," head coach Andy Christodoulou said. "We have some games that will be challenging, some games that will be a test of toughness, and some of the games that will allow us to work on our game. This is necessary for our preparation for conference play."
The Saints will also host Hartford (9/21) and Geneseo (10/6) in the fall and travel to Holy Cross (9/14) and the Marist Invitational (10/12-13). The annual alumni game will take place October 19 on campus.
Siena will head back to Hilton Head, S.C. over Spring Break (March 8-16) to help tone their game before the bulk of the conference schedule which resumes at Saint Peter's (3/22). The Saints host defending MAAC Champion Marist (4/4) and runner-up Fairfield (4/12) at Central Park.
The team's goal is to return to the MAAC Championships for the first time since 2011. This year's Tournament will be held at the Mercer Country Tennis Center April 25-27.
