Siena Women’s Tennis finished the fall season unbeaten with a 5-1 against Wagner. The match was clinched and not every court was finished due to a lack of courts and time.
“The girls finished the fall season strong today playing well and I’m looking forward to picking up where we left off in January,” said head coach Jeff Osborn.
Siena took courts one and three and led on court two in doubles. The Saints held a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
During singles, freshman Kylie Mullaney finished quick on court three to take the first singles point and put Siena up 2-0. Anessa Leyva clinched the match for the Saints on court four in a close tie breaker in the third set. Leyva finished just ahead of Rina Sakai who took the win on court six.
The Saints do not compete again until January 27, 2018 when they travel to take on UConn.
