Siena ended its fall season with a 5-2 loss at Rhode Island Sunday. Freshman Mitsuki Fukamachi and sophomore Erika Reagan recorded Siena's points at No. 3 and No. 5 singles.
"Everyone played well today, we played a tough team and gained valuable experience from the match," senior captain Carly Holloway said.
The Rams swept the doubles competitions to take the doubles point. Ali Garrity and Alyssa Singh suffered a tough 8-7 (4) loss at No. 2 doubles.
Fukamachi won her match in a super tie-breaker. She defeated Nithila Asokarai 6-4 in the first set, lost the second 2-6 and won the tiebreaker 10-3. Reagan bested Jordan Ricks 6-3 and 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
The Siena women's tennis alumni game will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. on the Siena courts.
