Anessa Leyva came out on top against Toldeo’s Megan Miller 1-6, 6-4, 10-8. She then fell in the semifinal match to Duquesne's Adams 7-6 (3), 7-5. Kylie Mullaney, in the “mild” draw fell 6-1, 6-1 to Syracuse’s Hegab. She then advanced to the consolation final by default.
Boberic and Goehner took down Kona and Miller of Duquesne 6-4 and advanced to the semifilansof the “mild” doubles draw. In doubles “medium”, Anessa Leyva and Natalie Weaver fell 6-4 to Comella and Betinelli of Bowling Green and will play for third place.
Boberic fell 3-6, 6-2, 10-4 to Paula Comella Bowling Green. She then fell against Toledo’s Kendall-Woseley to be eliminated from the singles “hot” draw. Natalie Weaver fell in straight sets 6-1, 6-4 against Emel Abibula of Buffalo. In the back draw Bowling Green’s Radeva came away with the win, 8-6.
Juliana Goehner first fell 6-4, 6-3 to Claire Aleck of Toldeo before taking her consolation victory. She advanced to the consolation finals and will face Reineke of Bowling Green. Ann Phillips was in the “bbq” draw with Goehner. She fell 6-1, 2-6 (10-7) to Sidney Siembida of Buffalo and was eliminated from the tournament by Reineke of Bowling Green, 8-6. Nanea Perkins was just one stop away from the consolation finals, but fell in a hard fought battle 9-8 (4) to Bettinelli of Bowling Green.
The final day of the tournament begins Sunday, October 8 at 9 a.m.
