Women's Tennis Opens Season With 7-0 Shutout of Wagner

The Saints swept all six singles matches without dropping a set and coasted to victories in each of the three doubles competitions in an easy 7-0 victory over Wagner in Loudonville Sunday afternoon. Denisa Hluchova and Julia Lebedev held the top two singles 6-1, 6-2 and 6-4, 6-0 respectively to lead the way.
Freshman Karina Davis teamed with Hluchova at top doubles in an 8-2 Siena win. In her first collegiate singles match, she dominated Stephanie Laruk 6-2 and 6-0. Captain Brooke Fisher also played well at fourth singles and third doubles, earning wins in each. Meghan Slenkamp and Sugam Langer each picked up singles wins as well for 1-0 Siena.
