The Siena College women's tennis team saw its hopes for its initial MAAC Championship slip by Sunday afternoon, dropping a 5-2 decision to top-seeded Niagara in the Championship Match. Freshman Denisa Hluchova and sophomore Brooke Fisher earned the lone Siena victories at the USTA National Tennis Center.

Siena's Nikki Mayer, playing in the final match of her illustrious career, dropped a difficult 9-8 doubles decision and was shutout in her championship singles match. The Saints narrowly dropped all three doubles points, setting the stage for Niagara's triumph.
