Final Stats

Siena freshmen Ali Garrity and Mitsuki Fukamachi each pushed their opponent to three sets, but Quinnipiac made the key plays at the right time to pull out a 7-0 sweep of Siena late Saturday night in Latham.

"Tonight we played a tough team and our scores do not reflect how close the match was," Siena coach Andy Christodoulou said. "I am extremely proud of everyone. We played with great heart."

Garrity won the first set 6-1, but Sophia Dzulynsky rallied to win the second 6-3 and the third 6-1. Fukamachi took the first set 6-3, before losing 6-4 and 10-6 to Sydney Young in a super tie-breaker.

The Bobcats took three tight doubles matches to start the match up 1-0.

The Saints return home to host Marist Thursday night.
