Women's Tennis Ends Spring Break Trip With 6-1 Loss

Final Stats

Freshman Mitsuki Fukamachi defeated Maria Sablina 6-0, 3-6 and 6-1 at No. 2 singles to account for Siena's only point in a 6-1 loss Friday at Bethune-Cookman in the final match of the team's annual Spring Break tour in Orlando.

Senior Carly Holloway battled at No. 3 singles before succumbing to Valentina Beresiarte in three sets. Reigning MAAC Player of the Week Erika Reagan also went the distance at No. 6 singles.

Bethune Cookman's Mina Matsuba set the tone for the win with a 6-1 and 6-4 win over Ali Garrity at top singles. The Wildcats swept the doubles competitions.

Siena returns to action Sunday March 22 at Saint Peter's
