Saints Fall at Lehigh

Siena Women’s Tennis was defeated 7-0 by Lehigh on Sunday morning. On the three-match road trip the Saints went 1-2.

“I give girls credit today plagued by injuries and sickness we had girls playing up 2 or 3 spots but battled to the end against a strong team,” said head coach Jeff Osborn.

Lehigh started the match off quickly by taking all three doubles courts. Siena fought hard, but was unable to take any court and trailed 1-0 heading into singles.

Ivana Boberic went up 6-3 at singles one, but fell in the following two sets 6-1, 6-1. Juliana Goehner lost 6-4 in the first set and forced a third set by winning the second 6-4. She then fell 7-6 (1) in a tight match.

Next for Siena is Senior Day on March 9 when the Saints host Hofstra.
