To open up a three-match Pennsylvania road trip the Siena Women’s Tennis team fell 5-0 to Bucknell in a shortened matchup due to time constraints.
“Today was just one of those days which nothing seemed to go right,” said head coach Jeff Osborn. “We have some work ahead of us for sure before MAAC play starts but hope to recover quickly for two matches we have in next two days.”
Bucknell quickly took the doubles point as they won 6-2 on both doubles one and two. Ivana Boberic and Juliana Goehner played a tough match at doubles three, but ultimately fell 6-4 as the Bison already led 1-0.
Rina Sakai fell at singles three in two sets to give Bucknell the 2-0 lead. Nanea Perkins also fell in two sets and the Bison took a 3-0 lead. Ivana Boberic battled at court one and the two went three sets but it would be Bucknell who would come away with the victory. Kylie Mullaney also played a three-set match at singles two, but the Bison took the win 5-0. Singles five and six were not finished due to time constraints.
The Saints will take on Lafayette on Saturday, March 3 at 4 p.m.
