Feb. 16, 2013
Bryant won five of the six singles matches and swept the doubles play to post a 6-1 win over Siena in a non-league women's tennis match Saturday. Freshman Allysa Singh picked up the Saints lone point with a three-set victory at second singles. "We fought hard right to the last point," Siena coach Andy Christodoulou said. "At the end of the day we have courage and we will do our best tomorrow. Difficult games like this one make us stronger." Rosie Bird set the tone for the Bulldogs with a 6-1 and 7-5 victory over Brittany Filip at top singles. She also teamed with her sister Lucy for an 8-4 triumph at second doubles. Singh defeated Marcela Brandao 6-1, 6-7 and 7-5 in a thrilling match. The Saints return to action March 3 at Army. RESULTS
