Sacred Heart swept a non-conference tennis match from Siena Sunday in West Haven, Conn. The Saints return to action Saturday against St. Bonaventure in West Point, N.Y.

"The effort was there but overall we were not smart with the points," head coach Andy Christodoulou said. "One and two doubles played very well, but in the new format is such a shorter game (set). You can not afford to get broken against a good serving team like Sacred Heart.

In singles action, the Pioneers dropped just one set in winning all six matches, that was won by Siena (2-5) freshman Ali Garrity at No. 3 singles.

Singles:
Katie DeRienzo (SHU) def. Carly Holloway, 6-0, 6-0
