Disponzio has earned the nickname the "Silent Assassin" from Coach Bloomberg because she slowly and methodically disposes of her opponents before they even realize they are losing...A quick, agile, tenacious and focused player, she possesses a very good all-court game that is improving with each match...A two-sport athlete at Farmingdale, Disponzeo also excelled at softball...She was the team's Most Valuable Player as a sophomore, junior and senior and was selected All-County twice and All-NY State as a senior...Brother Danny is a black belt in Kempo Karate...An economics major at Siena, Disponzio would like to be a lawyer after she completes her studies...The daughter of James and Teresa Disponzio...Born April 30, 1982 in Queens...AS A SOPHOMORE: The Silent Assassin, got off to a slow start in the fall, ending the season with a 4-3 record at #2 singles...She quickly returned to her dominating style in the spring winning her last five matches to complete the season at 8-4 and the year at 12-8...At #1 doubles, Disponzio posted a 9-2 spring record and a 15-5 overall mark...AS A FRESHMAN: After a shaky fall when she had to fill in at #1 singles for an injured Nikki Mayer, the Disponzio began to put it all together finishing the spring season with a 9-2 record which included a seven-match win streak...Her 6-1, 6-3 win against Iona clinched the MAAC finals and a fifth place finish for the Saints...Her on court accomplishments earned Andrea the Team's Rookie of the Year Award...In the classroom, Andrea completed her first year with an overall GPA of 3.64
