Women's Swimming Falls to Wagner

The Wagner College women's swimming team mounted a comeback to earn a 152-128 victory over Siena College Saturday afternoon in Loudonville, N.Y. The Saints now stand at an even 2-2 on the season.
Wagner's Molly McDonald led the visiting Seahawks, finishing first in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:48.45 and the 50 freestyle in a time of 25.24. McDonald was also a member of the 200 freestyle relay team that took first in the final event of the day, securing the victory for Wagner. Katy Driscoll was also placed first twice, winning the 200 butterfly in a time of 2:14.14 and the 100 butterfly in 1:00.73.
Siena was led by the strong swimming of freshman Ashley Serrago (Hauppauge, N.Y/Hauppauge) and sophomore Dana Golino (New Haven, Conn./Lauralton Hall). Serrago placed first in the 200 freestyle (1:59.55) and the 100 freestyle ( 54.88). Golino dominated the backstroke portion of the meet winning both the 100 and 200 in 1:00.77 and 2:10.06, respectively.
The Siena swim team is back in action next Saturday
