The Saints Swim team welcomed the Seahawks from Wagner College to Loudonville for their home opener on November 9. Wagner College took a quick lead and defeated the Saints 173-105.
Shannon Love had a strong performance this afternoon for the Saints. Love finished first in the 100 Free with a time of 55.01. Emily Carideo also scored first for the Saints in the 200 IM in a time of 2:17.90.
Maggie Fletcher scored for the Saints in the 100-yard Backstroke. Fletcher finished second with a time of 1:03.65. Amanda York also scored for the Saints in the 200-Yard Butterfly. York's second place finish was recorded with a time of 2:12.16.
Siena had great success in the 50-yard free, finishing in the second, through fifth positions. Led by Shannon Love's second place finish in 0:25.03. Rounding out the results for the 50-yard Free were Dana Tricarico (:25.98), Lea Allen (:26.40) and Colleen McDonough (26.76).
The Saints had two top-3 finishers in the 500-yard Free, behind the performances of Emily Carideo and Jacque Medina. Carideo finished second with a time of 5:17.14. Medina finished behind Carideo with a time of 5:23.49.
Kate Ackert performed 10 dives on the day from the 1-meter and the 3-meter board. Ackert scored for the Saints in both dives, scoring 150.50 in the 1-meter and 119.65 in the 3-meter.
The Saints are back home on November 16 when they host MAAC member Niagara. The meet starts at 1:00 p.m.
