Dana Golino captured the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.24, providing a bright spot for the Siena swimming and diving team in a 207-74 setback to Buffalo in Loudonville Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Ashley Serrago won the 50-yard freestyle to account for the Saints only other victory of the afternoon.

The meet began with a competitive 200-yard medley relay, which Buffalo won in 1:55.02. Siena's (0-1) team of Golino, Kaitlin Krause, Christi Hunter and Serrago were close behind in 1:55.84.

Jennifer Brankovsky captured the 200 free, 200 back and 100 fly to lead the visiting Bulls. Julie Marcotte and Kahla Walkinshaw each won two events for Buffalo (1-0).

The Saints return to action at home next Saturday in a tri-meet with Vermont and Manhattan.
