Love finished third in the 77 player race

Racing in their first meet of the year at the Catholic Invite hosted by Boston College, the Siena swimming and diving team put on an impressive performance.
The Saints had two top-five finishers in the 1000 yard freestyle. Megan Grace finished with a time of 10:54.98, which was good for second, just two one-hundredths of a second behind the first place finisher Christine McGuire of Boston College. Jacque Medina finished nearly three seconds behind her for fifth.
In the 100 yard freestyle, Shannon Love finished third in the race that featured 77 swimmers. Love finished with a time of 54.22 seconds, which was good for a third place finish.
Emily Carideo rounds out the individuals who finished in the top three in events. She accomplished a third place finish in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:15.10.
The relay team for the Saints beat out 19 other schools to finish third in the 200 yard freestyle. The team featuring Love, Amanda Podczerwinski, Dana Tricarico, and Amanday York, topped two other MAAC schools, Niagara University and Iona College.
The Catholic Invite concludes on Saturday October 20 at 9:00 a.m.
