Siena Swim fell to eighth place following the second day of the MAAC Championship. Two Saints made it to the individual finals.
Starting off the day, two Saints qualified for the 500 freestyle finals. Sydney Lautenslager and Carrie Bonvissuto, who both set collegiate personal records, qualified for the 500 finals with time of 5:16.06 and 5:16.10, respectively.
Katelyn Ludwicki set a personal best 5:16.16 in the 500 freestyle and just missed out on the finals. Julianna Sebastian finished the prelims in 5:21.55 while Natalie Valachovic set a collegiate best 5:31.55.
In the 200 IM prelims, Fiona Dretzka led the Saints with 2:14.03 time. She was followed by Erica Askew and Larissa Nanna who both recorded season-best times of 2:15.43 and 2:15.93. Shannon Leary tallied a personal best 2:21.51 in the event.
In the final prelim event of the day, Francesca Tinccui set a season best 25.17 in the 50 free. Senior Brigid Wynne had her best time in the event with a 25.20 time. Maggie Davenport and Alyssa Lewis followed one right after each other in time. Davenport set a season-best time of 25.43, while Lewis recorded her best collegiate time in the event with a 25.44 finish. Kylie George, who had not competed in the event collegiately, finished in 31.84.
In the 500 free finals, Bonvissuto set a new collegiate personal record with a 5:13.96 time. Lautenslager took on the finals with a 5:18.24 finish.
Siena will begin the third day of the MAAC Swim Championships on Friday, February 16 at 10 a.m. with the 400 IM prelims.
