Day One Results Get Acrobat Reader

The MAAC Championships kicked off in Buffalo, N.Y. today at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center at Erie Community College. There were three preliminary meets and the first round of three meter diving.

"Definitely look forward to tomorrow's events, we have many more swims than today," said Paul Kueterman. "Tomorrow, we have more stroke events which is one of our team's strong points."

Megan Grace and Jacque Medina qualified in the 500-yard Free after finishing the preliminary in tenth and eleventh, respectively. Grace finished with a time of 5:09.46 and Medina finished with a time of 5:09.94.

Emily Carideo qualified for the 200-yard IM after finishing with a time of 2:12.54. Dory Miller also qualified for 200-yard IM with a time of 2:14.25.

Shannon Love and Dana Tricarico qualified for the 50-yard Free event with their top-15 finishes in the preliminaries. Love finished eighth with a time of 24.34 and Tricarico finished in thirteenth in 24.77.

After the first round on the three meter diving board, Hailey Beers is currently eleventh after scoring a 181.35. Kate Ackert finished the round in sixteenth place after scoring 122.80.
