Siena Swimming won eight out of 13 events to defeat Saint Peter’s 144-56 in Jersey City, New Jersey. Fiona Dretzka and Emma Rupert won two individual events each, with Rupert taking the school record in the 100 yard IM.
Rupert took the 100 yard IM with almost a three-minute difference between the next fastest swimmer as she finished in 1:03.89. She followed that up with a seven minute victory in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:22.83.Dretzka first won the 200 yard IM in a time of 2:19.09, followed by taking the 100 yard backstroke in 1:03.26.
Dretzka, Erica Askew, Fournier and Francesca Tinucci won the 200 yard medley with a time of 1:57.05. Carrie Bonvissuto, Fournier, Katelyn Ludwicki and Rachel Brown took first in the 400 yard freestyle relay when they finished in 3:50.88.
Karen Castaneda, Lindsey Hanger and Rachel Valentine won one event a piece to lead the Peacocks.
Siena wraps up the regular season with a 4-6 record, having defeated three league foes during that time. The Saints will head to Buffalo, New York for the MAAC Championship at the ECC Burt Flickinger Center Pool.
