Megan Grace Wins Twice at C.W. Post

Final Stats

The Swimming and Diving team returned to the pool to face C.W. Post in Brookville, N.Y. after a month off for winter break. C.W. Post defeated the Saints 130-124.

"Megan Grace gave a strong performance today in the pool", said Coach Paul Kueterman. "She swam well in the distance events today, winning both events for us."

Megan Grace led the Saints with two wins, the 1000-yard and the 500-yard freestyle events. Grace won the 1000-yard free with a final time of 10:47.54 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:19.29. Junior Jacque Medina finished third in the 500-yard free.

Junior Amanda York also performed well for the Saints. York finished second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:16.47. York also earned the Saints points in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.62.

Siena found team success in the 400-yard medley relay against C.W.Post. The relay team of Kat Canavan, Kelsey Helin, Amanda York and Shannon Love finished second with a time of 4:14.89 and the team of Emily Hovey, Lauren Daly Emily Carideo and Maggie Fletcher finished third with a final time of 4:23.98.



Marthe Soerensen and Johanna Pettersson led C.W. Post, each posting two wins for the Pioneers.

Swimming and Diving return home for two consecutive home meets next weekend. On Friday, January 24, the Saints host Assumption and on January 25, the Saints host Saint Francis at Siena Swim Center.
