GENERAL: Competes in the freestyle event...A hard worker who does many things well.

2007-08: Recorded three fifth place times...Came in sixth on three occasions. Placed 5th in the 50 free and 100 breast vs. NJIT (1/14)...Added a fifth place time in the 100 free vs. Canisius (1/20).

2006-07: Notched one second place finish in her first season for the Green and Gold...Placed second in the 100 breast with a time of 1:35.10 against Vermont (10/14)...Placed third in one event and fifth in three others.

BEFORE SIENA: Lettered six years of varsity swimming and four years of varsity track and field at Long Beach...Team captain in swimming...Led Long Beach to an undefeated Divisional and Conference Championship...Finished as County Runner Ups...Named All-Conference in track and field and was invited to the Yale and Armory Invitational...Member of Junior Lifeguards, Beach Buddies, Saturday Morning Enrichment Program, Senior for Seniors and National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Born March 14, 1988...The daughter of Clint and Patti Schmitterer...Has an older sister, Nicole who is a graduate of Molloy College and a brother, Clint...A political science major...Enjoys surfing in her free time...Chose Siena for the friendly atmosphere, the school's reputation and the fact that she had the opportunity to swim.
