2012-13: Names to College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America and MAAC All-Academic team...Finished first in 200 yard relay and 100-yard backstroke against Sacred Heart (12/8)...Placed second in 400 medley relay at ECAC Championships (12/2) in 4:00.78.

2011-12:Had several top five finishes throughout the year participating mostly in medley relays and individual backstroke events...Part of the 200 medley relays that took first place in a meet against Sacred Heart and a tri-meet with Bryant and Niagara...Second place finisher in the 100 backstroke against Sacred Heart...Member of the third place 200 medley relay squad that took third place in the MAAC Championship

BEFORE SIENA:Earned four varsity letters at Caldwell...Won numerous events at Essex County meets from 2008 to 2011...Won the Conference Championship in 2008 in the 400 freestyle relay...Record holder for the Caldwell Chiefs in the 400 freestyle...Two-time All-State finalist.

PERSONAL:Born November 5, 1992...The daughter of Thomas and Eileen Canavan...Has an older sister, Christine, and a younger brother, Andrew...Father is a sports writer and mother is a registered nurse...Chose Siena for the atmosphere and closeness of the team...Also recruited by Binghamton, Fairfield, Iona, and Lafayette.
